Which is best for you EPEC, E-EXTEND or EXIT to Malaysia?

Initially, you have 14 or 30 days social visit visa, what to do when you time frame is about to expire?
and other similar
EPEC

ADVANTAGES:
  • Allows you to stay legally for a year in Singapore
  • Stress free when you have an approved and activated EPEC
  • The ideal time to apply is at least 2 months in advance or at least 1 month if you have an EPEC certificate. Otherwise, it won’t be a good time and your EPEC might end up unusable.
  • Since EPEC is an assessment of your educational at work details, this is not 100% approved for all. ICA has also some criteria to follow on giving approval.
E-EXTEND (E-Service for Extension of Short Visit Pass)

  • Allows you to stay for another 30days in Singapore on top of the initial Social visit Visa that was granted when you first arrive in Singapore.
  • Easier to apply as compared to EPEC and less hassle as compared to exiting to Malaysia/Indonesia
  • It is not 100% sure that you’ll be approved if you apply for it and you have a 50%-50% chance that to be approved.
  • Once that your 30days e-extend runs out, You have to leave Singapore and must be out of Singapore for at least 5 days before planning to go back. Read the terms and conditions when applying for E-extend.
EXIT to Malaysia / Indonesia
  • You get to visit another country, which is good for your vacation.
  • Risky, dangerous, Expensive
  • Again, this is not 100% sure that you’d be granted with social visit visa when you return back to Singapore.
